Like the daisies Ireland must sleep for a little while longer.
Tbe morning dew twinkles on the grass blades
As we wait for the birds to welcome a new dawn in
Sunbeams reach through the leaves on the trees
And slowly the buds begin to open
Time waits as they begin to spread their petals
Welcoming in the warmth of the sun.
The pace of life moves differently for all
We’ve slowed down and not before time
Slowed down enough to watch a simple daisy wake up
Realising there’s a beauty to the slowness of our new norm
Let’s waste time in the right way.
While the daisies sleep we did too
When they slowly awaken again
Let’s follow their lead, what’s the rush.
